Ronnie Morgan

Ronnie grew up in the apartment construction and development business started by his father in 1959. After earning a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin in 1977, Ronnie worked for his father’s company on apartment construction sites in Houston. Working on-site, he received hands-on construction knowledge and experience. In 1981, Ronnie graduated from the University of Houston Law Centre and started working as a real estate attorney for a downtown Houston law firm.
In 1986, after practicing real estate law for several years, Ronnie co-founded The Morgan Group, Inc., which grew to be one of the Top 50 private apartment developers in the nation. In 1998, he moved from Houston to San Diego and over the next 10 years, the western region of his company developed over 3,500 units in Southern California becoming the most profitable division of the company. In 2011, Ronnie sold his interest in The Morgan Group, Inc. to his brother, Mike.
Since then, Ronnie has been involved in creating four separate distressed housing funds known as the Alegria Real Estate Funds. With over 400 transactions, Alegria became one of the largest buyers of single-family homes in San Diego County. In addition, Ronnie has formed two joint ventures to again develop institutional quality apartment projects. MKS Residential is a partnership involving the former West Coast development team of The Morgan Group, Inc. MKS has completed two new apartment communities in Boulder and Denver, Colorado.
More recently, under the banner of Morgan Holdings, Ronnie has joined with Larry and Rob Bond of The Bond Companies www.bondcompanies.com to further expand development efforts across the country. Chicago Avenue, 363 units in two high-rise buildings located in the River West section of Chicago.
With the addition of Inspire Southpark and 1001 W. Chicago Avenue (respectively, the 49th and 50th projects developed), Ronnie has been involved over the past 35 years with the development of over 15,500 apartment units, aggregating over $2B in value.

Ryan was born in Texas and raised in Southern California. Having a cowboy upbringing and a surfer mentality, Ryan has developed a unique approach to life. With an innate passion for entrepreneurship, Ryan started his first business while in grade school. In pursuit of higher education, the University of Southern California is where Ryan immersed himself in business, finance, and international courses, as well as studying a variety of fields from physics to jazz history. After graduating, Ryan helped found Alegria Real Estate: raising $17 million and becoming one of the top 10 San Diego foreclosure home buyers and sellers. While flipping, Ryan turned his life-long passion for whole leaf tea into a business by co-founding Mad Monk Tea. Once the development market began to revitalize, Ryan moved to Colorado and became a superintendent for ReyLenn Construction: responsible for building a 319 unit apartment community. Moving to Denver, Ryan then transferred from the general contractor world into the development wing of MKS Residential. There he was responsible for two 280+ unit projects. At the same time he co-founded Broken Arrow Spirits, a grain to bottle bourbon distillery located in Centennial, CO.
